This week in greensboro we met with Former Chief Justice Henry Frye (an AGGIE Alum). Augustine, Adam and I had lunch at the Marriott with Justice Frye and although the food left much to be desired, we had a great conversation! Later on we attended a town hall meeting with Senator Don Vaughn . This meeting showed me why people do not always care for politicians. I concluded that it’s because, they NEVER answer questions. Augustine and I asked questions regarding his stance on voter owned elections and although he gave no real answer the other people in the room seemed impressed by our questions and interest in the subject. Friday, we ended our week with another of course….meeting! We met with the ACLU to brainstorm on a potential outreach day to increase youth awareness in Greensboro. This event will take A LOT of work, but if we can pull it off…we will undoubtedly be the best team! I will be sure to keep you all updated on the progress of the event!
