This past few days has been busy but full of excitement. Last weekend we held our Pathways to Power training in Rocky Mount, and that event was wonderful! We were able to get plans together to start a Democracy Rocky Mount and discussed trying to get the citizens out to their local Board of Election meetings to express their interest in Sunday polling sites.
As the week went on and we followed up on somethings that we discussed during the Pathways to Power it was time to hold our Souls to the Polls training. We had a wonderful turnout to that training and we were able to get more commits on attending these local board of election meetings. Our week continued to roll on with Voting Registration on NC State’s campus. We were able to set-up in the Brickyard and register some of the incoming freshmen!
Our week doesn’t stop there, we will be on the road tomorrow to do some more voter registration in Washington, NC and will be helping with a voting registration event this upcoming Saturday in Greenville, NC. We will continue to keep pushing forward.
