TAKE ACTION: Support Fair Elections in YOUR County

The laws about voting in North Carolina have changed, but how they are applied is often decided at the local level. We need to understand how the election system operates locally to make sure it works fairly. That means watching the actions of the County Board of Elections year round, attending its meetings (yes, sometimes they are boring), developing relationships with the members, and raising our voices at crucial times.

LOOK UP YOUR LOCAL BOARD OF ELECTIONS

You can find a list of contact numbers and a link to the local website for each County BOE at the link below.  County BOEs are required by law to post their upcoming meetings on their website within 24 hours of the meeting.  Always call ahead and double-check times and dates before attending your County BOE meetings. Please let us know at elections@democracy-nc.org if you get any new information related to your County BOE’s meeting schedule.
