This week ends on Good Friday with a press conference in a church, sponsored by the NAACP, Democracy NC and others, pointing out the fraud of state legislators trying to steal people’s right to vote by manipulating the election system – yet justice will rise triumphant! The respond to these hostile bills filed earlier this week was swift and strong, and it must grow larger to challenge the legislators’ overreach of slicing Early Voting, banning Sunday Voting, eliminating Same-Day Registration and more. Bob Hall talks with Chris Fitzsimon on his radio show about the goal of these measures, and also explains Democracy NC’s research about the Oklahoma gambling kingpin at the center of a $300 million corruption scandal in Florida, who also happens to be THE biggest individual donor to NC legislators, thanks to the apparent guidance of his lobbyists in the law firm where Gov. Pat McCrory’s was employed throughout the 2012 election campaign.
