Tomorrow morning, thousands of people from around North Carolina will gather in downtown Raleigh and march together to the General Assembly. They’ll be carrying messages of peace, hope, equality and justice. It’s the 7th annual Historic Thousands on Jones Street march (HK on J), and Democracy North Carolina will be there.
Join us as we urge legislators to Respect Our Vote by backing off on Photo ID and protecting Early Voting and Same Day Registration!
We will gather at 10am at the corner of Blount St. and E. South St, and hand out free signs for people to carry. The march starts at 10:30 and it’s about a 1-mile walk; if you would rather not march, you can join the crowd at Jones St. right in front of the General Assembly (16 W. Jones Street).
See you there!
