Do you know someone in NC who cast a Provisional Ballot? Those ballots could determine the winner of a few remaining close elections, including the Lt. Governor and 7th Congressional District contests. County Boards of Elections are researching the ballots now to decide which ones will count. Voters of provisional ballots have until Thursday at 5 PM to take an ID or other evidence indicating they are registered to their local election board.
Maybe you know someone on the list whose ballot is still PENDING or will be NOT COUNTED. Check these large working files (updated daily) for voters in counties from Alamance through Lincoln or counties from Macon to Yancey. If you recognize somebody on the list who believes strongly that they are registered, they should contact their County Board of Elections IMMEDIATELY and explain that they cast a provisional ballot, they have registered in the county, and they want to know what evidence is needed to make sure their ballot will count.
Another large file contains the working list of provisional ballots that are APPROVED to be counted in whole or part. For more on this topic, contact Bob Hall at 919-489-1931 or sprc@mindspring.com.
